First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce, With Dustwrapper

First printing of Cornish Adventure by Derek McCulloch in the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper.

Signed and inscribed by the author to the title page. 'With good wishes Derek McCulloch, Uncle Mac of the BBC.'

Derek McCulloch, as well as being an author, was mainly a BBC radio producer and presenter. He became known as Uncle Mac on Children's Hour and Children's Favourites. He was also the head of children's broadcasting for some time in his career. 

With ten illustrations by Phoebe Lefroy including a colour plate as a frontispiece. Collated, complete. 

Includes nine pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear endpapers.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper. The dust wrapper is worn to the extremities and slightly discoloured. To the binding, there is some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. There is some light spotting to the fore edge. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean.
