First edition. Scarce work. Illustrated with a frontispiece and twenty-six plates. Collated complete. A collection of shorties surrounding the 12th (Prince of Wales's) Royal Lancers, a cavalry regiment of the British Army first formed in 1715 which saw service for three centuries. Intended to offer a series of heroes from the past for future generations, and to keep the names of these brave soldiers known by those who follow in their footsteps. Written by Lieutenant-Colonel G. W. Hobson.
Condition
In the original full cloth binding. Externally, sound with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine with the odd mark to the boards. Small splits in the cloth to the head and tail of the spine with a further split to the head. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Light spotting to the endpapers.
