    First UK edition. Illustrated with a frontispiece and thirty-nine plates of images. Collated complete. This autobiographical account blends travelogue and artistic description. Written by a young artist inspired by time spent in the Arctic Circle upon his vessel sealing, hunting bears and musk-ox, and fishing. Written and illustrated by Dudley Vaill Talcott, an American sculptor, author and illustrator who traveled to Norway where he stayed on and off for six years.

    Condition

    In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and the odd small mark to the cloth. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting, predominantly to the first and last few pages.
