    First Edition, Illustrated, With Dustwrapper

    The first edition of the work. In the scarce original decorative unclipped dust wrapper. With a loosely inserted promotional leaflet issued by the publisher John Murray advertising Mumfie books and other 'charming works for children'. With charming illustrations by the author throughout. Collated complete. Here Comes Mumfie is the second work in the charming series of novels by Katharine Tozer, based around Mumfie, an elephant who lives in a cottage in the woods.

    Condition

    In the original pictorial publisher's binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear to the extremities. The odd spot to the rear board. Dust wrapper is smart with chipping and closed tears to the extremities. Sunning to the spine and the odd spot to the reverse of the wrap. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with just the odd spot, heavier to the fore edge. Offsetting to endpapers.
