First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

The first British edition, first impression. This British edition is scarcer than the U.S. edition, which was published in 1935.

In the original unclipped scarce dust wrapper.

A vivid travel work by Ernest Hemingway, 'Green Hills of Africa' recounts his month on safari in East Africa, a trip taken with his wife in December 1933.

In particular Hemingway spent this trip hunting, describing his sporting adventures in this novel.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, generally smart, with discolouration to the boards. Spine is faded. Spots to the fore edge. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Edge wear to the dust wrapper with chips and small closed tears, including a chip to the head of the spine and tail of the rear wrap. Light rubbing and spots to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
