Father and Son, originally subtitled 'A Study of Two Temperaments', is a 1907 memoir by poet and critic Edmund Gosse, initially published anonymously. It is widely considered to be the first psychological biography. 

This copy has been bound upside-down.

Condition

In full morocco. Externally, smart with slight spotting to leather and fading of boards. Internally, firmly bound. Text block has been bound upside-down. Loss to first front free endpaper. Newspaper cutouts to paste downs. Pages clean but age toned, heavier to the first and last few.
