A unique set of five volumes of sheet music for various songs from musical films, all of which were written or contributed to by Oscar Hammerstein II. Four of the five of these pieces contain the song 'Bill', which was written by Wodehouse and Hammerstein for their 1917 musical 'Oh, Lady! Lady!'.
'Bill', from the 1936 film 'Show Boat', starring Irene Dunne. Words by P. G. Wodehouse and Oscar Hammerstein II, composed by Jerome Kern.
'Show Boat Song Album', from the 1936 film of the same name. This volume contains the sheet music for five songs: 'Make Believe', 'You Are Love', 'Who Do I Love You?', 'Bill', and 'Ol' Man River'.
'Till the Clouds Roll By', from the 1946 film of the same name, starring Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland. Written by P. G. Wodehouse and composed by Jerome D. Kern.
'Bill', from the 1946 film 'The Man I Love', starring Ida Lupino. Words by P. G. Wodehouse and Oscar Hammerstein II, composed by Jerome Kern.

Condition
In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, generally smart, with minor edge wear. Sticker to the head of the wrap of 'Bill, Show Boat', with wear and a couple of chips to the backstrip. Ink to the front wrap of 'Show Boat Song Album'. Tear to the tail of the wraps and textblock of 'Bill, The Man I Love'. Price sticker to the front wrap of 'Bill, Both Ends of the Candle'. Light handling marks to the wraps. Internally, 'Show Boat Song Album' is firmly bound, 'Till the Clouds Roll By', 'Bill, The Man I Love' , and 'Bill, Both Ends of the Candle' are unbound as issued. Pages are bright and clean, with a few scattered spots.
