Both volumes are illustrated with a colour frontispiece, three colour plates, four monochrome plates and numerous in-text drawings.
Collated, complete.
Two inspiring collections of aviation stories, with contributions from 'Biggles' author Captain W. E. Johns, fellow WWI veteran-author George E. Rochester, "Vigilant" (Claud W. Sykes), and one by William Hansboro.
Featuring six Biggles stories from 'Biggles Flies Again'.
Condition
In the publisher's quarter cloth binding, with illustrated boards. Externally, 'Ace High' is very smart, with only mild rubbing and bumping to the extremities. 'Air Stories' is more worn, with a couple cracks to the front board and marks to the spine and boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age toned, but generally clean, with the occasional spots largely concentrated to the first and last few leaves and to the borders of plates. With contemporary gift inscriptions to both front free endpapers. Contemporary Christmas sticker to front free endpaper of 'Ace High'.
