With forty-eight photographic black and white plates and a folding map of Spitsbergen to the rear of the work. Collated, complete.

A. R. Glen's narrative of an Oxford University expedition to the New Friesland peninsular in the north of West Spitsbergen, in which the party of eighteen explored the area by sledge.

Condition

In the publisher's original blue cloth binding with silver and red lettering spine label. Externally, very smart with minor handling marks to boards. Fading to spine. Slight bumping to spine head. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright but age toned.
