    First Edition, Uncommon

    The first edition of this uncommon work in the publisher's original paper wraps.

    Illustrated with thirteen plates of sixteen black-and-white collotypes to the rear. Collated, complete.

    A guide to the use of scientific instruments for studying manuscripts, such as microscopes, magnifiers, ultra-violet lamps, and cameras, with information on the care and handling of manuscripts, as well as deciphering handwriting. This uncommonly seen guide was written by R. B. Haselden.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally generally smart, with marginal sunning to the wraps and to the spine of the wraps, and light chipping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
