Description
Colour Plates, Illustrated, Very Scarce
A very scarce work in a quarter cloth binding with the original pictorial boards. Illustrated with 8 colour plates and numerous in-text illustrations. Collated, complete. A lovely 1930s children's book about aeroplanes, from the first flying inventions to the work of the Wright brothers, with descriptions of different types of planes and the first flying expeditions. This work is becoming very rare, with just one copy held by the British Library. Undated, dated through copies held at the British Library.
Condition
In a quarter cloth binding with the original pictorial boards. Externally bright and smart, with just some shelf wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for the odd spot and handling mark. Small closed tear to the title page. Colour plates remain bright.
