First edition. Signed and inscribed by the author to the front endpaper in presentation to Leonard Jackson, dated 25th May 1935. With a frontispiece. A companion to his previous work London for Shakespeare Lovers, this is far more than an anthology of Dickens topography. Being a critical examination to Dickens' attitude to the subject and history of London. Written by William Kent, an English author who published multiple books on London.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with minor wear and bumping to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also smart with light wear and the odd small closed tear to the panel edges. Sunning to the spine with the odd small mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Minor age toning to the extremities.
