The first volume of Ahmad Amin's trilogy exploring the history of Islamic religion and culture.

Amin's work was the first attempt of a modern history of the Muslim world, a significant contribution to the religious history.

Ahmad was an Egyptian historian, most noted for this trilogy, and for his autobiography titled 'My Life'. In 1953 he also published an important dictionary of Egyptian folklore.

This edition includes bibliographical references and indexes.

Condition

In a quarter calf binding with cloth to the oboards. Externally, smart, with some light marks to the boards. Minor rubbing to the spine. Light bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
