Prepared for publication and with additional comments by Albert Bigelow Paine. Albert Bigelow Paine (1861 – 1937) was an American author and biographer best known for his work with Mark Twain. Paine was a member of the Pulitzer Prize Committee and wrote in several genres, including fiction, humour, and verse. Frontispiece photograph of Twain.

Condition

In a blue cloth binding with gilt facsimile signature of Twain to front board. Externally generally smart. Light sunning to the spine. Light rubbing to the head and tail of the spine, as well as to the front board and extremities. Very light cockling to the front board. Internally firmly bound. Pages are generally clean, with some isolated foxing.
