Churchill's collection of engaging autobiographical essays that cover his early political career.
The book was published in November 1932, with a first printing of four-thousand copies. However it was already so popular that three additional printings of one-thousand copies were issued in the same month.
Illustrated with a frontispiece and in-text cartoons throughout.
The second impression in the 'Keystone Library', published in February 1934, one leaf of adverts for the series to the front.
Collated, complete.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Spine is very lightly faded. Very light bumping and rubbing to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Only a few light marks to the cloth. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
