First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

A very scarce first edition, first impression.

Compiled by May Byron, the British writer and poet, best known for her abridgements of J. M. Barrie's 'Peter Pan' books, this work gathers together a wealth of helpful recipes 'for feeding invalids and convalescents'.

With bookplate of Martin and Pamela Finch to front free endpaper. They were antiquarian booksellers with an interest in antiquarian gastronomy.

Condition

In the publisher's original paper covered boards. Light spotting and handling marks to boards. Loss of paper to back strip head, with joint heads starting, but boards firmly held. Bookplate to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally clean and bright.
