What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

The first edition, first impression of this work, in the publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper.

Written in the interwar period, Milne argues passionately against war, criticising both its glorification and the notion that it is ever truly honourable.

Milne draws on his experience from the First World War and challenges the idea that modern warfare can be justified on moral or practical grounds.

With the inscription of A. L. Duggan to the front pastedown, and a further inscription and former owner's depiction of Winnie the Pooh to the front free endpaper.
