The first Grosset & Dunlap edition, fourth printing, published the month after the first Grosset printing, a sought after early U.S. edition. The first Grosset edition was published in the same month as the first Dodd edition.

A sought after early edition of one of Agatha Christie's most popular murder mystery novels, featuring her enigmatic Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. 

Poirot sets aboard the Orient Express, when a murder is discovered after the train is stopped by a heavy snowfall...Poirot takes it upon himself to solve the case, the conclusion being one of the most famous crime culminations across the genre.

Agatha Christie is one of the most prolific and successful detective writers of her time, writing sixty-six detective novels in total. She is best known for her protagonists Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original price-clipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Very light rubbing to the title to the front board and spine. A few spots to the fore edge. Dust wrapper is a little edge worn, with small closed tears, and two tape repairs to the reverse. Tidemark to the reverse of the dust wrapper, faint to the front joint. Spine is sunned. A little light rubbing to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
