The first edition of this uncommon work, in the publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper.
This charming children's work was designed with a folding runway and four perforated sheets bearing individual characters ('waddle figures') that could be popped out and constructed to make walking figures.
This copy lacks all four characters and the runway, as is frequently the case.
The last two leaves bear instructions for assembling the characters and runway.
With monochrome and colour vignette illustrations throughout.
This book was the first time in the history of book-making that this interactive feature appeared, bringing to life the story of characters including Mickey Mouse and Pluto.
Condition
In the publisher's original pictorial paper covered boards, with unclipped dust wrapper. Boards bright, with light rubbing to back strip head and tail. Three vertical indentations to front board head. Sunning to dust wrapper back strip, with small losses to dust wrapper back strip head and tail, and small holes towards head of back strip. Loss, closed tears and chips to front wrap head, with closed tear and light chipping to rear wrap head. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally clean and bright. Lacking four character sheets, and runway.
