The scarce first UK edition of this work, which was first published in the US the year prior.
A pop-up celebrating and narrating two of Disney's 'Silly Symphonies' animated shorts, 'Babes in the Woods' from 1932, and 'King Neptune', also from 1932.
Illustrated with four vibrant pop-up scenes, and with further full page and vignette illustrations. Pop-ups in full working order, but with tape repairs to three scenes. Collated, complete.
Former owner's inscription to half title dated 1934.
Condition
In the publisher's original pictorial paper covered boards. Rubbing and losses of paper to back strip, with light rubbing to board perimeters. Light tide mark to front board head. Joints starting, with boards firmly held. Inscription to half title. Internally, binding lightly strained. Pages clean and bright with only the odd spot. Tape repairs to final three pop-ups, with small closed tear to first pop-up.
