First Edition, Illustrated, Uncommon, With Letter
Uncommon with the dustwrapper. Edwin Willoughby was a librarian and academic who established himself as an internationally renowned scholar on the printing of Shakespeare and the history of the King James Bible. Covers the history of William Jaggard who,with his son Isaac, was responsible for the printing of the first folio of Shakespeare. With a handwritten original poem and illustrations by poet and painter Mark Jeoffroy called 'The Blind Printer and His Son', dedication to William and Isaac Jaggard, loosely inserted.
Condition
In a cloth binding with original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally in excellent condition with just light wear to the spine. Dustwrapper is smart with some wear and sunning to the spine. Internally firmly bound. Pages are clean and bright throughout.
