First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

Barré Lyndon (1896-1972) was best known for being a screenwriter and playwright; however, during his early career he was a journalist specialising in motor-racing. This work documents the sport of motor racing and racing contests in the early 1930s. He penned six novels on the subject of motor racing, as well as films including 'The Man in Half Moon Street', 'The Lodger' and 'Hangover Square'.

In the publisher's original binding, lacking a dust wrapper.

Contains a full colour plate frontispiece illustration, as well as thirty one full plates.

Condition

In a full cloth binding. Externally a trifle rubbed, tail of the spine is slightly chipped and shelfwear to the joints. Ownership stamp to edges and front endpapers. Internally firmly bound, pages bright and clean.
