With a frontispiece, illustrated title page, and 33 monochrome plates. Collated, complete. 

The work provides a comprehensive account of the Co-Operative Permanent Building Society, a mutual building society that provided mortgages and savings accounts for its members. In 1970, it was renamed the Nationwide Building Society.

Condition

In publisher's original brown cloth binding. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart. Shelf wear to extremities, most significant to the head and tail of the spine. Odd mark to boards, with very light fading. Slight offset to endpapers. Dust wrapper is smart. Occasional loss to edges, most significant to the tail of the spine. The odd closed tear with slight age toning. Odd mark to wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
