By Sax Rohmer, the pen-name of Arthur Henry Ward, who is best known for his series of novels which feature the master criminal Fu Manchu, who first appeared in the novel 'The Mystery of Dr. Fu-Manchu'.
This set includes 'The Si-Fan Mysteries', which follows Fu-Manchu as he partners up with the a Chinese criminal tong, the Si Fan.
and
'The Yellow Claw', a crime novel which follows a Parisian investigator as he goes up against a criminal villain called Mr King who attacks the wealthy individuals of London.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrappers. Externally excellent with light fading to the spines, with only a slight lean to 'The Yellow Claw'. Spotting to the endpapers to 'Si-Fan'. The wraps are smart with closed tears and the odd small chip to the extremities, and handling marks to the rear, heavier to 'Si-Fan'. Internally firmly bound with bright pages, and light spotting to the front and rears, heavier to 'Si Fan', otherwise generally clean. Spotting to the fore-edges.
