This is a two volume set of
Part I explores the West, North, and North-East, including the Windsor Forest country, Bucks, Herts, and Essex, while Part II turns to the South and South-East, covering the commons of North-West Surrey and the North Downs of Surrey and Kent.
Each copy provides detailed route descriptions, advice on respecting farmers and rights of way, notes on historic mansions, and concise histories of the surrounding areas.
Both copies are illustrated with four double-sided monochrome photographic plates and a monochrome frontispiece of the buildings, landmarks and landscape. Collated, complete.
Condition
In the publisher's original pictorial paper wraps. Externally, very smart. Very slight rubbing and bumping to extremities, with the odd small crease. Very slight soiling to wraps. Slight spotting to extremities. Slight offsetting to rear wrap. The odd minor handling mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with one or two spots to first and last few leaves.
