In the publisher's original pictorial hardbacks. Externally, very smart. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities resulting in slight loss to paper. Hinges of “Fishes of Britain’s” cracked in places, but holding. Cloth to spine of Elizabethan Miniatures cracked and torn, loose, but holding. Spine of “Book of Clocks” only just holding, in need of sympathetic repair. Previous owner’s inscription to front paste down of “Birds of the Sea,” and “Poisonous Fungi." Previous owner’s contemporary ink inscription to the front free endpaper of “Book of Ducks,” and “Woodcuts of Albrecht.” Dust wrappers, very smart. 17 clipped. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities resulting in the odd small chip, crease and closed tear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean, with one or two spots and slight age toning to older copies.
