This volume provides 41 detailed descriptions of walking routes around London's countryside, richly illustrated with maps and monochrome illustrations, drawn from articles in in The Evening News, selected from the series of "Weekend Walks" by "Fieldfare."
Walks include: "Reading and Goring - A Thames Valley Walk," "Dunstable to Tring - The Edge of the Chilterns," "A Round from Harlow - Wide Views in East Herts," "Epping and Ongar - Our Quietest Country," and "Dunton Green and Sevenoaks - The Greensand Ridge," among many others.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. One slight spot of damp staining to front board. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities. One or two slight handling marks to boards. The odd spot and slight offsetting to endpapers. Dust wrapper, generally smart. Scattered spotting to wraps. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities resulting in the odd small chip and closed tear, especially to head of spine. Slight age toning, heavier to extremities. While the price remains unclipped, a portion of the lower front flap has been cut out. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
