The limited 'Sandhurst Edition', privately printed for the Sandhurst Royal Military College where Churchill studied. This edition was limited to 1,354 copies. 

In the publisher's original cloth. 

Illustrated with thirty-two monochrome maps and plans, including plates, vignettes and folding plates. Collated, complete. 

Winston Churchill's analytical historical account of the First World War, discussing the various battles, tactics, military decisions and more. The series was first published in six volumes. This special edition features a new abridgement, with chapters chosen by Churchill from the revised and abridged edition and bound into a single volume specifically intended for the students at Sandhurst.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally, a damp stain and slight creasing to the front cover, minimal edge wear and light fading to the spine. Small owner's inscription to the front free endpaper. Front hinge tender opposite the title page, rear tender after rear blanks. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages.
