One of a very scarce limited edition of 500 copies of this work, printed in Joanna italic type by Hague & Gill, High Wycombe, in the publisher's original cloth binding.
Illustrated with a woodcut frontispiece by Eric Gill, this work was printed by Hague & Gill, a printing press founded in 1931 by Eric Gill and René Hague, the husband of the Gills' youngest daughter, Joanna. Collated, complete.
A rare edition of this collection of Shakespeare's sonnets, edited by Margaret Flower. This edition reproduces the text of the 1609 Quarto, with the exception of its misprints and errors. With textual notes and an index to the rear.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart, with shelf wear to the extremities. A little fading to the spine. Title page is detached but intact. Otherwise, internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with the odd spot, more so to the first and last couple of pages.
