A pop-up celebrating and narrating two of Disney's 'Silly Symphonies' animated shorts, 'Babes in the Woods' from 1932, and 'King Neptune', also from 1932.
Illustrated with four vibrant pop-up scenes, and with further full page and vignette illustrations. Collated, complete.
Inscription to half title dated 1937.
Produced by Blue Ribbon for Walt Disney. Blue Ribbon helped popularise and coin the pop-up format with their vibrant publications.
Condition
In the publisher's original pictorial paper covered boards. Boards bright. Bumping and small losses of paper to back strip head and tail. Back strip lightly age toned. Joint heads and tails lightly strained, with front board a touch tender, and rear board firmly held. Inscription to half title. Internally, binding a touch strained. Pages age toned due to paper type, with the odd handling mark. Tape repair and minor loss to one pop-up, with loss of a character tab to a further pop-up. Otherwise in full working order. Light tide mark to gutters of final four leaves.
