The presence of 'The Witness for the Prosecution' is a notable inclusion as Christie later adapted the story into an award-winning play.
With the inscription of J.E. Waghorn, 1934, to the front free endpaper.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding, with unclipped dust wrapper. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with fading to head and tail. Contemporary inscription to front free endpaper. Major loss to tail of dust wrapper front wrap, with further loss to back strip tail, and a small loss to the head of the fold over the front joint. Light chipping to back strip head, small closed tear to head of fold over rear flyleaf. Light handling marks to rear wrap. Tape repairs to dust wrapper reverse at closed tear to front wrap, and at head of back strip, and head and tail of flyleaf folds. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally clean and bright.
