With the original thirty-two playing cards and one joker, as well as the brass marker dials on a leather back. Collated complete. A reference to the standard rules of the royal game of Bezique and Rubicon Bezique, a nineteenth-century French melding and trick-taking card game for two players, which was imported to Britain and is still played today. Poker Patience, c1909. A guide book to the card game Poker, with sections on the method of scoring, penalties, variations, progress, and playing for one player and two players. Condition
In the original cloth covered clamshell box. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Joints split to the front of the box, though it holds together tightly when closed. Booklets are bound in the original paper wraps and are externally very smart with minor wear and the odd small mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Cards in very good condition with the odd handling mark. Brass dials are slightly rusted with the odd small mark to the leather backing.
