    With a monochrome frontispiece and four plates. Collated, complete. 

    This volume chronicles the birth and development of the National Provincial Bank, a retail bank established when Newcastle timber merchant Thomas Joplin took to campaigning for joint-stock banking. 

    With coverage of its early troubles, schemes, headquarters, foreign connections and more.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with slight bumping to the spine and marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Offsetting to the endpapers, otherwise pages are bright and clean.
