André L. Simon (1877–1970) was one of the twentieth century’s foremost wine historians and connoisseurs, founder of the Wine and Food Society, and author of over a hundred works on wine, gastronomy, and the art of good living.

Elizabeth Craig (1883–1980) was a celebrated Scottish journalist and cookery writer, the author of more than sixty books that helped define twentieth-century British home cooking.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Slight fading to extremities. Very slight shelf wear to extremities. Slight offsetting to endpapers. Dust wrapper, smart. Unclipped. Slight loss to upper perimeter of front wrap. The odd small chip, closed tear and crease to extremities. Wraps slightly age toned with the odd light spot and slight soiling. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with the odd spot heavier to fore edge and first and last few leaves.
