Containing 'The Man Who Died', 'The Ladybird', and 'The Captain's Doll'.

The first story concerns Jesus' resurrection, a curious religious tale which sees Jesus as a human. 'The Ladybird' follows a wounded German officer as he share his philosophies on life and love. Finally, 'The Captain's Doll' chronicles a fallen German aristocrat.

Lawrence was an English novelist, best known for his controversial novel 'Lady Chatterley's Lover'.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart, with light rubbing and marks to the cloth. Spine is a little faded. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Front hinge is starting but firm. Bookplate to the recto of the front endpaper. Spots to the endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
