This comprehensive work presents the history of the Duke of Cornwall's light infantry, covering the period between 1914 and 1919. This infantry regiment was formed in 1881, named after Queen Victoria's eldest son, the future King Edward VII. This work commences at the Call to Arms at the start of the First World War, covering all the regiment's movements and battles until 1919.
Written by the Vice President of The Western Front Association and professor of First World War Studies, Everard Wyrall, with a foreword by H. R. H. The Prince of Wales and Duke of Cornwall.
Illustrated with twenty-one illustrations and twenty-one folding maps. Collated, complete.

Bound in the publisher's original cloth. Lacking the dust wrapper. Externally, very good, with light bumping to the extremities. Light rubbing to the extremities and joint, causing a small tear to the head of the front joint. Light marking to the cloth. Hinges are strained, particularly to the front, with cords visible. Light spotting and offsetting to endpapers. Spotting to the fore edge. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean, with the odd spot or mark to the page extremities. Plates and maps are bright and clean, with the odd crease.
