Sax Rohmer was the pen name of British author Arthur Henry Sarsfield Ward, best known for his immensely popular series of thrillers featuring the criminal mastermind Dr Fu Manchu. Blending mystery, adventure, and espionage, his books captivated early 20th-century readers and inspired numerous film, radio, and television adaptations.

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with light shelf wear to back strip tail. Inscription to front free endpaper. Losses of paper to dust wrapper back strip head and tail, with chipping to head of rear wrap. Age toned tape to back strip head. Internally, firmly bound. Pages significantly age toned due to paper type, but clean.
