A scarce work.

An intriguing study on the purported crimes of women in the years after being given the right to vote. Such crimes include prostitution, writing indecent literature, drugs, and perversion (lesbianism). 

Illustrated with a frontispiece, and five plates. Collated, complete.

Newspaper clippings to the front paste down and endpapers, all detailing women's various crimes, such as a woman who killed two nurses, and a woman who was sued for the dresses she wore at trial. Additional clipping tipped-in before page 15, and before page 291.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Label to the front board. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, with a small tear to the head of the spine. A few minor marks to the cloth. Newspaper clippings to the front paste down and endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very lightly age-toned and clean. Newspaper clipping tipped-in before page 15, and before page 291.
