First edition. With a colour frontispiece and many in-text images. A charming collection of eighteen original fair stories, including: The Singing Wood, Jack and the Princess, The Three Gowns, Lubberly Peter, May Night, and many others. Written by Lilly Frazer, a French born British writer and translator. Illustrated by Henry Matthew Brock, a British illustrator and landscape painter.
Condition
In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light wear to the extremities. A small split in the cloth to the rear board. Original price-clipped dust wrapper is also smart with light wear and minor chipping. The odd small mark to the panels. Small closed tears to the rear fly leaf. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with minor age toning to the endpapers.
