The first edition of this work. A later issue in a cloth variant with pictorial onlay to front board; the first issue was bound in pictorial paper covered boards.

With 'story and illustrations by staff of Walt Disney Studio', this is a delightful short tale following the adventures of Mickey Mouse and his friends, including such obscure characters as Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow.

This work marks the first appearance of Donald Duck, though not as we would come to know him.

This was the first book about Mickey Mouse to be published under Mickey's direction.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with pictorial paper onlay to front board. Bump and minor loss to back strip tail, with front board exceptionally bright. Tide mark to fore edge of front board. Inscription to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright. Small holes to two leaves, with no words obscured.
