First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
In the original unclipped dustwrapper, with replacement spine label still present to the rear of the work. Robert Graves was an English poet, novelist, critic and classicist, with much of his work focusing upon classical themes. As well as poetry, Graves wrote a number of extremely successful historical novels, including 'I, Claudius' and 'Count Belisarius'.
Condition
In a decorative purple cloth binding in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally smart, with just some slight edgewear to the extremities. Spine and rear board slightly sunned. A few marks to the boards. Slight offsetting to endpapers. Booksellers label for The Poetry Bookshop to front pastedown. Front hinge slightly strained but firm. Dustwrapper is worn, with loss to the extremities and spine. Front and back of wrap are detached from spine, but held in a protective brodart wrap. Dustwrapper is sunned. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with just the odd spot.
