An autobiography of the early life and childhood of Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill, a British statesman, military officer, and writer who twice served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. This volume covers the period from his birth in 1874 to around the year 1902, with mention of his marriage in 1908 to close. With descriptions of his childhood and schooldays, and how his family decided his path in life was to join the army as an officer. Churchill goes on to recall how he became proficient in writing and speaking English, his characteristic optimism carrying him through every experience of his life.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
