With twenty-three illustrations by Reginald Cleaver, an early twentieth century British cartoonist known for his work in Punch Magazine and The Daily Graphic. Collated, complete. 

A collection of humorous tales, including: The Legend of Mirth, The First Sailor, Pig, His Gift, and The Village that Voted the Earth was Flat.

Written by Rudyard Kipling, an English novelist, short story writer, poet, and journalist, born in British India which inspired much of his work. Best known for The Jungle Book and Just So Stories.

Condition

In the original red cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities. One or two very slight handling marks to boards. Previous owner's contemporary inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
