Known for writing in the Kannada language, he was a foremost figure in Kannada literature.

Illustrated with thirty photographic images, and a folding map. Collated, complete.

With three pages of advertisements to the rear.

Born in the princely state of the Kingdom of Mysore, D. V. Gundappa offers a guide to the region, offering information on the language, geology, government, education, flora and fauna of the region.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with discolouration to back strip tail. Handling marks to boards. Spotting to fore edge of text block. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
