First published in 1893, The Refugees is one of Arthur Conan-Doyle's historical novels, with the story revolving around a Huguenot guardsman of Louis XIV and an American who comes to visit France.

Originally published in 1896, Rodney Stone is a thrilling gothic mystery novel, telling the story of the titular character, who wishes to follow in his father's footsteps and become a sailor.

With prize bookplates to the front paste down of each novel.

Bound by Riviere in a full calf prize binding. Externally, lovely, with slight fading to the spine, and the odd handling mark. Bookplate to the front paste down. Spots to fore edge, heavier to Rodney Stone. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with just one or two spots to Rodney Stone.
