'Le Cinéma: Des Origines à Nos Jours' (1932), with a preface by Henri Fescourt, a French film director who directed over 40 films during his career.
These wonderfully presented works contain input from various people working within the industry, including theatre critics, stage crew, artists, among others. With chapters on theatre architecture, set design, actors, genres, cinematography, avant-garde cinema, financing a film, and more.

Condition
Bound in the publisher's half calf with marbled paper covered boards. Externally, very smart, with light rubbing to the extremities and the odd mark. A small chip to the rear board of 'Musique-Dans' volume. Lower front board to Cinema volume is slighlty cockled from water damage, also to the first few pages. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
