Written by British author, Annie Sophie Cory under the pseudonym Victoria Cross, who was known for her popular, racy New Women novels, written under a variety of different names.
This particular New Woman novel tells the story of twenty-two year old Rosa Deane who finds herself in love with two men at the same time, leaving her in somewhat of a predicament.
With an issue sheet from London Borough of Hammersmith Library to the front endpaper, and the Hammersmith Public Library stamp to the title page and first page.
With the bookseller stamp of Dawson, Paris to the rear paste down.
Condition
Bound in the publisher's original red cloth. Externally, sound, with slight rubbing to the joints and extremities. Boards are slightly soiled, with damp staining to cloth. Hinges are a touch strained, but holding firm. Library issue sheet to the front endpaper, with author's inscription also to the front endpaper. Bookseller label to the rear paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with library stamps to title and first page.
