'The Scarab Murder Case' was the fifth novel in this series, with this particular mystery surrounding a murder in a museum of Egyptology. Detective Philo Vance must rely on his extensive knowledge of Egyptian history and customs to solve this puzzling murder.

Bound in the publisher's cloth. Externally, very smart, with light rubbing to the extremities and a few marks to cloth. Front hinge a touch strained, but holding firm. Ink inscription to front paste down. Internally, firmly bound with bright, clean pages.
