A study on the Kirk of Scotland by John Buchan and George Adam Smith. This work explored the Church of Scotland from 1560 up to 1929, from its development during the Reformation of the sixteenth century, seeing how the institution changed over the course of the centuries.
Illustrated with a frontispiece, and three plates. Collated, complete.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Spine is a little faded. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Minor edge wear to the dust wrapper, with neat restoration, and repairs to the reverse. Wraps are a little age-toned with light handling marks and spots. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with scattered spots.
