'The Courtier's Library' is an entertaining squib by John Donne in which he pokes fun at courtiers and court life.
Written between 1603 and 1611, Donne proclaims in this work that the secret to be pass as being learned and cultured is to read books that no-one else has, providing a list of imaginary books which are a satirical comment on the people and schools who were fashionable at the time.
Originally published in Latin, this volume contains the original Latin and the English translation.

Condition
In the original publisher's paper covered boards, in the original paper covered slipcase. Externally, smart. Spine is sunned. Spot to the rear endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Slipcase is smart with light marks, is a near fine condition.
